Read the paperContext
For a large greenfield copper project, the MPT was used to test lump samples across a range of size fractions.
The Work
Each lump was sized automatically and tested individually, with no product sieving. MPT predictions were compared with the project's existing comminution test results.
Results
MPT predictions compared well with the project's standard comminution tests, including drop weight (A×b, DWi), SAGDesign and Bond ball mill work index. On the strength of these results, the client moved to on-site trials of the MPT on drill core.
